‘APCs in the Wild’ – Exploring funding streams for an accelerated transition to open access | 5th May 2020
In this webinar recording Jessica Monaghan, Head of Policy and Performance, Open Access at Springer Nature talks about the results of recent interviews with 16 institutions which showed their ability to track article processing charges (APCs) varies widely. We also surveyed more than 1,000 Springer Nature authors and found that over a quarter of authors used only ‘wild’ funding sources for their APCs, in other words, sources that are more difficult for an institution or funder to monitor and track.
