Before joining Springer Nature in 2002, Nathalie Huilleret worked with small local medical publishing houses, where she started as an acquisition editor for journals and books. Over the years, she worked her way up through the editorial ranks, gained a deep understanding of the publishing industry, and developed a strong network through her ability to build relationships, bridge disciplines, understand the needs of the medical communities, and identify rising stars and hot topics. She now manages a team of 17 publishing editors in four major European countries. The medical book program she oversees encompasses all clinical disciplines as well as nursing and dentistry. In addition to this primary role, she is the Managing Director of our Paris office, one of the 50 locations worldwide that allow authors, no matter where they are located, to have a close connection with a member of the Springer team.
Naren Aggarwal joined Springer company in 2011 as an executive editor and managed a portfolio of journals and books in clinical medicine, mostly working with the research community based in India. Besides acquiring new journals, he set up the book acquisitions program building up on his networks and understanding of the medical books. His responsibilities expanded to manage journals and books in the entire Asia from 2017. Later, he moved exclusively into book program managing clinical medicine as well as biomedicine and life sciences. He has editorial teams in four locations in Asia, China, Japan, Korea and India. Major regions covered by him are the Middle-East, South Asia, Central Asia and Australia-NZ. His teams’ major work lies in setting up co-publishing partnerships, develop content on SDGs, and commission books in the top growing disciplines. Some key areas covered in the life sciences program are cancer biology, neurosciences, genomics, soil sciences, sustainable agri-practices, urban ecosystems, fisheries, and veterinary medicine. Radiology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, pathology, oncology and onco-surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and intensive and critical care are some of the key subjects in the medicine program.
Richard Lansing is Editorial Director, Americas, for the Clinical Medicine division at Springer. Springer is a part of Springer Nature, a leading global scientific, technical and medical publisher that serves and supports the research community in academia, scientific institutions and corporate R&D departments. Richard has been in the medical publishing field for more than twenty-five years, working in the fields of book and journal publishing and continuing medical education. He has been with Springer since 2003.
Richard manages a team of 13 Editors in New York and Sao Paulo, publishing books for trainees, practicing physicians, and physician-researchers across the full range of therapeutic areas. The Americas clinical medicine team contracts and publishes more than 300 monographs, reference works, atlases, textbooks, study guides, and instructional video each year, adding to a global clinical medicine division that contracts and publishes nearly 900 titles annually. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a minor in sociology, from Eastern Illinois University, a master’s degree in publishing management from Pace University, New York and a master’s degree in sociology, with a concentration in medical sociology, from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
